I have chosen to work as an external IT consultant because it gives me the opportunity to work with different companies and experience a wide variety of systems, work cultures, and technical challenges. It not only provides me with significant professional development, but also enhances my social skills. One of the biggest advantages of this role is that I am constantly exposed to new learning situations. This keeps my energy and motivation high, as no two workdays are the same.
What motivates me most is the feeling of making a difference for the users. I look forward to helping and being available so that users can perform their tasks without technical obstacles. Additionally, it gives me great job satisfaction to be in an environment where my efforts are valued and in demand – it creates a meaningful everyday experience.
My workday usually begins by reviewing the day's tasks and the client's expectations. When working with clients, I place great emphasis on establishing a secure and welcoming relationship. I have found that when users feel I am accessible and easy to communicate with, they reach out more quickly when problems occur – even if they are minor or unclear challenges. This fosters great collaboration and helps ensure that issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
Yes, I feel very much seen, heard, and appreciated. FlexPeople places significant emphasis on our well-being, both professionally and personally. They excel at maintaining a sense of community across locations through regular social events and the shared platform Viva Engage, where we are continually updated with news from colleagues and the company. This creates a strong sense of belonging, even though we do not meet every day.
